Who We Are

The Need to Serve Seniors

We at Arizona Senior Options have a mission, not just a convenient byword, but a viable goal. It was born from a vision -- a history in hospice and assisted living; the need to honestly and ethically serve a much forgotten, ignored, and vulnerable community, our seniors.

We present families and their loved ones with the most respected and quality retirement assisted living communities and senior care homes in the vast market of available places throughout the entire Phoenix valley. The care providers in our network are carefully chosen and personally, physically visited and evaluated. They must live up to our standards of excellence in order that they be part of our network. They are graded on the most important “FOUR Cs”:

  • Care
  • Compassion
  • Cleanliness
  • Compatibility

And so it goes… each day we discover new, beautiful, caring places for our clients to call home. We bring: smiles, positive energy, dignity to the elders we guide and serve, comfort to the family and a better, happier more enriched life to all. That is part of what makes up our core values and philosophy. That is our daily endeavor ... and we accomplish that.

Denisa Teodora Barbur

Founder/ President

Founder and CEO of Arizona Senior Options Placement Agency, Denisa's goal is to help families navigate one of life’s most challenging transitions. It is her belief that when assisted by caring professionals, this often tense process can be embraced as part of life’s natural evolution – an experience that can be fulfilling, optimistic, compassionate, dignified, and of course, respectfully and professionally attended. After all, our agency exists to make life better, not to take away from it.

A Summa Cum Laude graduate of Barrett’s Honors College of Arizona State University, Denisa studied Public and Global Health while working in the caregiving industry directly with seniors. Her favorite part of her coursework were the classes that wove psychology, health, and culture together. The threads of our lives are interwoven, and this knowledge helped Denisa learn to have an ongoing rapport with clients from all walks of life and an empathy that lasts through the decision-making process.

She’s invested in helping families make fully informed, confident decisions about care with all the information she can provide. She makes sure to be accessible to clients outside business hours, because sometimes unexpected crises happen in unexpected moments. She’s able to offer advice, compassion, deeper explanations, or just comfort to clients as they navigate unknown waters and find the best senior living and care solution, custom-tailored to them.

Denisa is currently pursuing a BSN (Bachelors of Science in Nursing) degree with an emphasis and specialization in geriatric care from Arizona State University, which will further help her serve families and their aging loved ones.
